Hang up your car keys for your stay and travel around Devon by the many train links, (just a 5-8 minute flat walk from Beachcomber Holiday Apartment to Exmouth train station) and enjoy the £2 Bus Ride around Devon, per single trip on offer until July.

We are located just 50 steps from Exmouth beach, and the Exe Trail cycle route and Mamhead slipway, just right for launching your boat, tender SUP/Kayak or canoe.

Beachcomber Holiday Apartment has been designed to accommodate up to five, this includes a cot for under 3 years of age.  The Master bedroom benefits from Exmouth beach sea views and can be transformed from a Super King to two single 3’ beds. There is plenty owardrobe storage, a dressing table set in the bay window with views of the sea and slipway, hairdryer and full-length mirror. This room is tastefully decorated complimented by the yellow/turquoise modern canvas paintings.

The second “cabin room has the “quirky” raised king size bed, accessed via a traditional wood 5 tread ships ladder, with a roomy “cupboard/den” located underneath the bed and old fashioned ships lighting. This nautical themed room is very appealing for boat enthusiast and youngsters love the hideaways!

The lounge/dining room and open plan kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, toaster, kettle, wine rack, four ring hob oven, washing machine and portable cloths dryer. Plus we boast a good size window overlooking the balcony, with plenty of natural light, the L-shaped sofa offers easy viewing for the wall mounted TV, (dog throw  covers supplied) a lovely nautical bay window with seating, with views of the sea. The full shower room and toilet, is located on this level.

The main feature of this Apartment is the relaxed “Tiki” “beers on the balcony”with artificial grass, nautical sail cloth railings windbreak, ornate wine rack, featured slalom ski bar shelf, above the outdoor bar dining table with stool seating, and soft lightingThe restful sun loungers are ideal for relaxing and just snoozing in the sun, the balcony is just right for your “al fresco” takeaways, meals or just chatting over the day’s events!

The exterior staircase, with artificial grass, is an area for SUP/Kayak/Canoe vertical parking, the artificial grass base is to reduce board damage while stored upright. Situated to the right of the SUP park is a large lockable equipment store, housing the beach trolly, beach games, picnic thermal bag, picnic blanket, crabbing nets, buckets, spades, rugby ball, rounders set plus wetsuit hanging hooks!

Public Transport Directions

  • Beachcomber Holiday Apartment, 7 Alston Terrace, Exmouth, Devon EX8 1TF is approximately 10 minutes flat walk from the Exmouth Train Station. Exit the train station by M&S, go to the roundabout by LED sports centre, carry on the next small round about and follow Imperial Road. Take the second turning on the right, St Andrews Road, and the Apartment is at the beach end located just on the corner of Alston Terrace.  
  • By bus the main Stagecoach bus number 57, and will be about a 10–15-minute walk, after entering the centre of Exmouth (by Clarks Shoe Shop on the left) exit the bus, walking a short walk to the right at the roundabout (The Powder Monkey on your left) take the second exit off the roundabout, with (The York Pub) on your left.  A short walk to the next roundabout take the first exit, into Imperial Road, the take the second exit into St Andrews Road, walk on the left hand side, passing two turnings, Alston Terrace is the third turning left off this road and the Apartment is well signposted on the corner.

Road Directions

  • By car from the M5 this should take you 30 minutes. Turn off at junction 30, take the A376 signpost Exmouth, at the first roundabout off the short dual carriageway, take the third exit, marked Exmouth, onto another dual carriageway.
  • At the next roundabout take the second exist marked Exmouth, then a very short distance to the next roundabout (with the George & Dragon Pub on your right) take the first exit to Exmouth, keep on the A376 until you reach Exmouth.
  • At the main Exmouth roundabout take the second exit (The York Pub) on your left and LED swimming pool on your right.
  • At the next roundabout take the first exit into Imperial Road, then the second exit into St Andrews Road, take the third exit into Alston Terrace and Beachcomber Holiday Apartment is right on the corner, signposted.
  • For the garage parking, enter between the two white pillars in St Andrews Road, and park outside of no 11 garage.
