Cirque du Vulgar returns to Exmouth

Imagine if the circus was only for grown ups…

Cirque Du Vulgar

After choosing Exmouth for its first ever sell-out performance last summer, Cirque du Vulgar is back with a bang on Saturday 13th July 2019. This over 18’s circus show has been raising eyebrows up and down the UK in the past year, proving that sex sells – especially in the Big Top.

“There were over a hundred people on the waiting list who were unable to get tickets to our first Exmouth show. We just had to come back for more,” revealed Rosie Clarke, Vulgar spokesperson.

Inspired by a love of all things vulgar, the adults-only circus features a fire-breathing pyromaniac, alluring hula hoops, sexy strong men, a drunken whore, nail-biting acrobatics, and a fearsome Dominatrix flying high in the Big Top.

Flesh & filth

“We’ve promised flesh, we’ve promised filth, we’ve promised stunts. This is one circus show that you can’t take the kids to!” says a sharp-suited performer as he sets up his props ready for the big night. This is Frank, one half of outrageous comedy duo Frank and Beans, who will be providing the belly laughs and vulgar jokes throughout the 18+ show.

Fellow performer Beans plays a pyromaniac with a penchant for stuffed rabbits. Dishevelled and foul-mouthed, he shocks the crowd with fire-eating stunts that are close enough to singe your eyebrows.

“If you managed to get tickets last year, there’s plenty of new things in store,” says Rosie, “and if this is your first Vulgar experience – be prepared for a show which is refreshing, enticing, and aimed at a whole new audience.”

Among the weird and wonderful items which have found their way into the circus ring are a full-size bath, perfect for a scantily-clad performer to emerge from dripping wet, suspended by elastic wrist cords. Tipped as a group favourite, her powerful aerial straps act is one to watch.

His & hers, nudity & naughtiness

Cirque Du Vulgar

Three gorgeous ‘Vulgarettes’ perform a teasing topless feather dance. Nudity and naughtiness are the order of the day here at Cirque du Vulgar, and there’s no excuses for the male members of the cast, who are also seen bearing all in the name of risqué live entertainment.

Two chiselled acrobats star in the big jaw-dropping finale act, a Wheel of Death which rotates high in the air whilst they jump and skip across the abyss. With cast members hitting metal chains to the pulsing music and leaping out to dance in the aisles, it’s guaranteed to get the adrenaline pumping.

Hunks in trunks

Cirque Du Vulgar

Upside down hunks in trunks, mind-bending pole dancing, sequinned nipple tassels, the ‘Only Gay in the Circus’, a ukulele, champagne on ice, and plenty of those trousers which rip off at the Velcro seams… the naughty and hilarious cast of Cirque du Vulgar have thought of it all. And they cannot WAIT to unveil it.

This unique adults-only circus performs for one night only in the circus Big Top at the Imperial Recreation Ground on Saturday 13th July at 8.30pm. Doors open at 7.30pm. Tickets are £15 each for tiered seating or £25 for VIP tickets (ringside tables with service from the Vulgar characters, includes one free drink).
